1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Ringo Pets mobile application (the “App”), you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

We may revise these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted within the App. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

2. Eligibility

To use the App, you must:

Be at least 13 years old; and
Provide accurate registration information

Only verified animal shelters and rescue organizations may upload adoptable dog listings. We may request documentation to verify affiliation.

We reserve the right to deny or suspend access at our sole discretion.

3. Account Security

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
All actions taken under your account

You agree to notify us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized account access.

4. User Content

4.1 Definition

“User Content” includes any data, photos, descriptions, or communications submitted to the App.

4.2 Ownership

You retain any ownership rights in your User Content.

By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to:

Host, display, modify, reproduce, and distribute such content
Promote adoptable animals and operate the App

This license continues while your content is available on the App.

4.3 Prohibited Content

You agree not to upload or share:

False, misleading, or fraudulent information
Offensive, harmful, or abusive content
Content you do not own or lack permission to use
Unauthorized personal information of others

We may remove any content at our discretion.

5. Adoption Responsibility Disclaimer

Ringo Pets does not:

Review or certify the health, behavior, or background of any animal
Guarantee the accuracy of listings posted by shelters or rescues
Participate directly in adoption decisions

All adoption arrangements are strictly between adopters and the respective shelter/rescue.

Users assume all risks associated with meeting, handling, or adopting animals listed on the App.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the App
Interfere with or disrupt App functionality
Scrape data for commercial purposes
Use the App for harmful, unlawful, or exploitative activities

Violation may result in account removal and legal action.

7. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, code, designs, and functionality of the App are owned by GetLOST! LLC and protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

8. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party providers for core functionality, including:

Hosting and database services (Render)
Storage services (Amazon S3)
Email communication services (Resend)
App functionality (ExpoEAS / Apple)

We are not responsible for actions or failures of any third-party provider.

9. App Updates & Availability

We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice. We are not liable for any downtime, loss of access, or data interruptions.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the App if we believe:

Terms have been violated
Fraudulent or harmful activity is occurring
Required accuracy or verification cannot be maintained

Upon termination, licenses and rights granted to you will immediately cease.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless GetLOST! LLC and its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims or damages arising from:

Your use or misuse of the App
Your User Content
Your interactions with animals or organizations

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability to any user shall not exceed $100 USD

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes must be resolved exclusively in state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
